Fronts Hire Kory Cooper as Assistant General Manager and Goaltending Coach

The Kingston Frontenacs are pleased to announce the hiring of Kory Cooper as the team's Assistant General Manager and Goaltending Coach. Kory will now work closely alongside newly appointed General Manager and Head Coach, Paul McFarland.
Kory will be tasked with balancing the workload of the Kingston Frontenacs management team, while also helping to develop the team's goaltenders.
As Paul McFarland explained, "Kory comes to us with a lot of great experience at both the professional and major junior level. He also brings a familiarity with him to the community of Kingston and the Frontenacs. He will be able to provide us with great insight and add tremendous value to our management team and coaching staff as we strive to get to the next level."
Kory hails from the village of Winsloe, P.E.I., now a neighbourhood of Charlottetown. He also has deep roots in the Kingston community.
Previously, Kory worked for the Kingston Frontenacs as a goaltending coach from 2006 until 2011. He also spent time working for Queen's University and the Kingston Voyageurs.
Most recently he worked as a goalie development consultant for the Ottawa Senators organization (Belleville Senators). Kory also has a wealth of experience working with teams in the OHL, ECHL, OJAHL and U Sports.
"It's a great opportunity," said Kory. "I love the group we have here and the vision of Paul McFarland and the Springer family. I am excited for how Paul is planning to grow this team and I look forward to working with him. We have a young team and there is a lot of opportunity for growth. We are going to ingrain that in our players each and every day."
"I loved my experience with the Frontenacs when I was first here," said Kory. "I was a fresh coach at that time, now I am coming back more polished and I believe I can provide a deeper role within the team."
The Kingston Frontenacs are thrilled to welcome Kory and his family back to the organization.
"Being back in Kingston is something I have been thinking about for a long time," replied Kory when asked what it means to him and his family to be in Kingston again. "My wife is from here and my father-in-law is a longtime season ticket holder of the Frontenacs. I love the city and everything about it, the organization, the people that are involved with it and I believe there is a great opportunity for success here."
