Kingston Frontenacs News Release

The Kingston Frontenacs have completed a trade with the Mississauga Steelheads. The Frontenacs have acquired a 10th round pick in the 2023 Ontario Hockey League Priority Selection in exchange for overage defenceman Evan Brand.

Evan was drafted by Kingston in 2017 (2nd Round, Pick 29) and he played in 145 games for the Frontenacs. In three seasons, Brand scored 1 goal and added 7 assists for 8 points. The 6' 5" defender from Toronto, Ontario was a physical presence for the team from day one.

"Evan was a great teammate, worked hard and he always did what was best for the team," said General Manager, Kory Cooper. "This trade provides Brand with a great opportunity to continue his OHL career and contribute as an overage in Mississauga."

The Kingston Frontenacs Hockey Club wishes Evan all the best as he continues his career in Mississauga.
