Frisco Fighters Season Update
March 13, 2020 - Indoor Football League (IFL) - Frisco Fighters News Release
The Frisco Fighters are grateful to the city of Frisco and the North Texas region for its patience and understanding of the postponement of our inaugural game. The positive support we have received since we announced our postponement has been extremely gratifying to our ownership family, our players, and our coaches, and it further strengthens our belief that Frisco is the best market we could have selected in which to build our organization.
The IFL prides itself on being a leader in fan-friendly entertainment, and the wellbeing of everyone involved is our top priority. So, while we were disappointed that our fans were not able to enjoy a great night of football in Frisco and our team could not take the field after a spirited training camp, we understand and accept the need to be responsible citizens and partners with the city of Frisco and Comerica Center.
Having said that, there is no slowing the Fighters down! As an organization and a team, we will continue to press forward with the same enthusiasm, excitement, and exuberance we have displayed since our announcement in November. Our players will continue to practice and remain visible in the community. We will continue to promote and market the team and the organization. And, once it is deemed safe for all to get back on the field and for fans to fill Comerica Center for our inaugural game, we will Take Flight and make our first campaign as successful as it can possibly be.
