Four Rump Roasters "Branded" With Ink

August 24, 2006 - United Indoor Football Association (UIF) - Omaha Beef News Release

Omaha, Nebraska- Four members of the Omaha Beef's male dance team, the "Rump Roasters", received tattoos of the Omaha Beef "Beef Head" Logo on Monday August 21, 2006. This was done for fun, and showed their loyalty and dedication to the team. The tattoos were done at Viking Tattoo Inc. located just north of 120th and West Center Rd.

The four Rump Roasters who received tattoos were, Leno "C. Bear" Ayala, Rick "Doc South" Southwick, Sean "Miller Time" Miller, and Todd "T-Bone" Hansen. Leno, Rick, and Todd all received their tattoos on their upper arm (bicep area), and Sean received his on the lower leg (calf muscle). For Todd (T-Bone), it was his first tattoo. He said, of the experience, "I really enjoyed the overall experience with the other guys. It was a great bonding experience with the other Rump Roasters." All four guys said the experience was fun and painless.

The tattoos were given at Viking Tattoo Inc. located at 2440 S. 120th St. inside of the Bel Drive Plaza. Owner of Viking Tattoo Inc. and tattoo artist/ expert, Robby Holmes, administered three of the four tattoos and his assistant administered the fourth. Robby has been in the tattooing business for over 16 years, and is one of the best in the business. Robby said he'd be willing to tattoo the "Beef Head" logo on anyone, especially those who are loyal and dedicated fans to the Omaha Beef program. Prices of the tattoos vary by size and specifications of the tattoo.

The tattoos were done because of an idea spurred by Leno "C. Bear" Ayala, who received a tattoo of the original Omaha Beef Logo back in 2000 as one of the original members of the Rump Roasters. Leno said, "After getting the first Beef tattoo in 2000, I was anxious to get the new logo tattooed this year. This opportunity was special because I was able to share it with some of my Rump Roaster Team Mates." Assistant General Manager Dustin Talacko and Sales and Marketing Manager Travis Marr were also on hand to watch the experience take place. Travis Marr said, "This was a great opportunity to branch out and explore a new avenue in the community, the tattooing industry, and work together to build another strong business relationship. Robby is a great guy, and we are excited to have him on board as one of our sponsors. He does great work in his field, and we look forward to having him be a part of our 2007 season."
