Forward Madison Players Deliver Homemade Cookies to Fans' Doors

October 2, 2019 - United Soccer League One (USL1)
Forward Madison FC News Release

Forward Madison FC players are thanking their fans by delivering homemade chocolate-chip cookies to the doors of random season ticket holders who have renewed for the 2020 season. In videos posted online Tuesday, team captain Connor Tobin and midfielder Brandon Eaton showed up at fans' houses, giving them batches of cookies and handwritten thank-you letters.

According to Tobin, the cookie delivery initiative is just one way the club connects with the Madison community.

"Our fans are incredible, so we wanted to do something to show them how much they mean to us," Tobin said. "The support they give at our games is special; it rivals any soccer atmosphere in the United States. We just want to show them how much they mean to us."

With one match left to play in its inaugural USL League One regular season, FMFC just needs to win Saturday on the road against Lansing Ignite FC to qualify for the League One playoffs. The Flamingos would also clinch if the Chattanooga Red Wolves fail to win later that day.

The Flamingos drew huge crowds in their first year, leading the 10-team League One with an average attendance of 4,292. Season tickets are now on sale for 2020.
