Former Eskimo Andrew Jones Joins Community Department
(Edmonton) - Three-time Grey Cup champion offensive lineman Andrew Jones joins the Eskimos community relations department, starting today.
His role includes working with amateur football to help grow the game, as well as working with community groups to ensure the Edmonton Eskimos make a positive and meaningful impact.
A former offensive lineman, Jones retired as a member of the Green and Gold in March 2018 after signing a one-day contract to do so.
Originally selected in the fourth round (32nd overall) of the 2007 CFL Draft by the BC Lions, the McMaster alum spent 11 seasons in CFL, appearing in 102 career games with the BC Lions (2007-11, 2017), Toronto Argonauts (2012-13), Edmonton Eskimos (2014-15), and Saskatchewan Roughriders (2016).
Jones was a member of Grey Cup champion teams in 2011 with BC, 2012 with Toronto and 2015 with Edmonton.
