YOUNGSTOWN, OH - NHL Central Scouting released its midterm rankings for the 2020 NHL Draft earlier today, and five players (four skaters and one goalie) affiliated with the Phantoms found their names on the list.

The list was topped by Alex Lafreniere, the budding Canadian superstar playing in the QMJHL who has 70 points in 32 games. Earning the highest ranking in the USHL was Team USA (U18) defenseman Jake Sanderson checking in at #8. The highest skater in the USHL not playing for Team USA is Chicago's Sam Colangelo at #33.

Trevor Kuntar is the highest ranked skater for the Phantoms, checking in at #135. Kuntar currently leads the USHL in goals with 23 and is fourth in the league in scoring with 36 points, just three off the top spot. Youngstown placed two players from their affiliate list in the rankings as well. Riley Duran, a forward currently playing for Lawrence Academy in Massachusetts, was listed at #142, and defenseman Bayard Hall, currently playing for Salisbury Prep in Connecticut, checked in at #193. Ben Schoen was listed, but not ranked and listed as "Limited Viewing" as he was out from October 4 - December 28 with an upper body injury.

Youngstown also placed a goaltender Colin Purcell on the list, ranked #6 among North American goaltenders. Colin was the top USHL goaltender on the list not playing for Team USA; NTDP netminder Drew Commesso checked in at #2 on the list.
