'Fish Sweep Riversharks

(Camden, NJ. - April 25, 2013) - Bridgeport took care of business in the final game of their seven-game road trip as they completed the sweep of the Camden Riversharks by a score of 8-4 on Thursday evening at Campbell's Field.

Josh Butler (1-0) picked up his first win of the year for the 'Fish. He pitched six innings giving up just one run and striking out two. The loss was dealt to Camden's Keith Weiser (0-2) who gave up seven runs (five earned) over five innings of work.

The Bluefish gave Butler a three run lead in the second inning. Collin DeLome (2-4, 2 R, 2 RBI, HR) led off with a single and scored on an Austin Krum (1-4, R, RBI) base hit. Luis Rodriguez hit a ground ball to third on the next pitch that went for an error and scored two more runs.

Luis Lopez only had one hit but it went deep for his second homerun of the year. Second basemen Daniel Mayora has hit safely in all seven games this year. Tonight was his first multi hit contest, as Mayora went 3-for-5.

The Bridgeport Bluefish home opener at The Ballpark at Harbor Yard is scheduled for tomorrow, Friday, April 26. Hunter Jones (0-1) will get the nod for the 'Fish and face off against York Revolution starter Chris Cody (1-0). Game time is 7:05 p.m. and gates open at 6:05 p.m. Come out and enjoy all the Opening Night excitement while taking in Bluefish Baseball.
