Firebirds Lineman Sean Brown Signs with Houston Roughnecks of the UFL

August 23, 2024 - Arena Football One (AF1)
Albany Firebirds News Release

In an exciting development for the Albany Firebirds, lineman Sean Brown has signed with the Houston Roughnecks of the United Football League (UFL). This move marks a significant step in Brown's professional career and highlights the growing success of the Firebirds' players on a larger stage.

Before joining the Firebirds for the 2024 season, Brown played two seasons with the Philadelphia Stars in the United States Football League (USFL), where he gained valuable experience and showcased his skills. His strong performance with the Firebirds has paved the way for this new opportunity with the Roughnecks.

Brown's signing with the UFL follows Malik Henry's move to the Canadian Football League (CFL) earlier this year. Henry, who was the first quarterback signed by the 2024 Albany Firebirds, joined the Edmonton Elks in January 2024. Despite his release in early June, Malik's hard work and dedication throughout his stint with the Elks were commendable, and he returned to the Albany Firebirds. His perseverance and commitment continue to inspire and reflect the high caliber of talent within the Firebirds' program.

Sean Brown's transition to the UFL is a testament to his hard work and dedication, as well as the quality of players developed by the Albany Firebirds. The Firebirds organization is proud of Brown's achievement and looks forward to following his success with the Houston Roughnecks.

Congratulations to Sean Brown on this exciting new chapter in his career!
