Joining Salazar's staff will be infield coach Tomas Perez, hitting coach Rene Tosoni and pitching coach Mike Maroth.

Perez returns to Florida's staff after spending all of 2017 with the Braves' Advanced-A affiliate. The 44-year-old spent 12 years in the major leagues as a member of the Toronto Blue Jays (1995-98), Philadelphia Phillies (2000-05), Tampa Bay Devil Rays (2006) and Houston Astros (2008).

Tosoni joins the staff in his first season as a professional coach. The 31-year-old made his major league debut in 2011 as a member of the Minnesota Twins, and played for seven seasons (2007-13) as part of the Twins and Milwaukee Brewers organizations.

Maroth has spent the last two seasons as the Atlanta Braves pitching rehabilitation coordinator. Prior to his time with the Braves organization, the 40-year-old spent time as a pitching coach for the Triple-A Toledo Mudhens and the Advanced-A Lakeland Flying Tigers in the Detroit Tigers organization.

The Orlando native pitched for six seasons in the majors as a member of the Tigers (2002-07) and the St. Louis Cardinals (2007).

Dave Comeau returns to the Fire Frogs as the team's athletic trainer. The 2018 season will mark the Massachusetts native's fourth year with the Braves organization.

Florida begins its second season with two road games against the Daytona Tortugas at Jackie Robinson Ballpark from April 5-6, before starting the home schedule at Osceola County Stadium against Daytona on April 7.
