Due to severe inclement weather, the exhibition game scheduled for 6:00 pm on Friday, October 12th against the Fayetteville Marksmen has been cancelled.
"We're disappointed we had to cancel the game, but due to safety concerns regarding the opposing team in their travel, as well as our fans, we felt it would be in the best interest of the community and the Fayetteville Marksmen to cancel," Mayhem General Manager Blair Floyd said.
Fayetteville's head coach, Jesse Kallechy, commented on the unfortunate set of events, as well. "While we are obviously disappointed in losing a chance to have our guys face another squad, having been on the other end of such a threat like a hurricane, safety and caution definitely need to take priority," Kallechy said. "We hope for such safety and well-being for our friends in Macon, and look forward to our battle with them next weekend."
To those who prepaid for tickets to the exhibition game, refunds are available by your method of purchase via the person through whom you purchased them. In the meantime, home opening night will proceed as planned on Friday, October 19th at 7:35 pm.
The Mayhem front office will be closed today at 2 pm and will be closed all day tomorrow, October 11th. Our office status for Friday, October 12th is to be determined.
Refunds are available by your method of purchase and by the person through whom you purchased them. Stay tuned on Mayhem social media for the latest updates. The Mayhem encourage all fans to stay safe during this storm.
