Evacuees Visit Postponed
September 7, 2017 - Canadian Football League (CFL)
Winnipeg Blue Bombers News Release
WINNIPEG, MB. - Due to the outbreak of mumps in Manitoba and in emergency shelters as reported yesterday by Manitoba Health, today's on-field event with the evacuees from Northern Manitoba has been postponed.
We are incredibly disappointed we cannot host the evacuees who have been displaced from their homes. However, the safety of guests, fans, and players is the top priority of the Winnipeg Football Club when hosting events at the stadium.
As a part of our commitment to these communities and in partnership with Perimeter Aviation, we will host guests from St. Theresa Point and Garden Hill First Nations at upcoming Bomber home games on September 22nd and October 28th, with a player meet & greet following each game.
