Guelph Storm News Release

The Guelph Storm announced today that forward Daniel Erlich is the AMJ Player of the Week for the week ending Sunday, March 6th.

Erlich recorded five points, one goal and four assists, in three games this past week. Thursday night in Barrie, the Thornhill native had his best game of the week picking up a goal and two assists. He was named first star in the Storm's 5-4 win over the Colts. In Guelph, hosting the Otters one night later, the 19 year old helped force overtime and an eventual shootout by setting up Tyler Carroll for the tying goal at 3:17 of the third. In the final contest of the week, Erlich picked up an assist on the powerplay helping to set up Taylor Beck for his 40th of the year in the Storm's 4-3 shootout loss to the Spitfires.

Recording at least one point in all three Storm games this past week, Erlich has recorded a point or better in seven of his last eight contests. With 58 points, he sits fourth on the Storm in scoring and has recorded 26 points since joining the Storm from the Knights in early January.

Next up, the Storm will look to move two points ahead of London when they travel to Sarnia on Thursday to take on the Sting. One night later, the Knights will come to the Sleeman Centre for a 7:30 start. Tickets for Friday night's game are still available and can be purchased by visiting or calling the Guelph Storm Box Office at 519-837-9690.
