Eastlake Appreciation Day Set for April 23

(Eastlake, OH) - The 2010 Midwest League Champion Lake County Captains, the Class A affiliate of the Cleveland Indians, have partnered with the City of Eastlake to offer $1 tickets to Eastlake residents for the game scheduled at Classic Park on Saturday, April 23 at 1 PM. All proceeds from the sale of resident tickets for this game date are retained by the City.

Specially priced resident tickets can be purchased only at the Eastlake City Hall beginning on March 14. Residents must show proof of residency with an ID showing an Eastlake address. The special offer is only available at City Hall.

"We have had such a positive response from Eastlake residents when we hosted our one-day appreciation events in 2008 & 2009 that we wanted to extend this offer for this season as we celebrate the first championship in Lake County's history", Captains VP and General Manager Brad Seymour said. "This is our hometown and residents should be proud to enjoy a great facility like Classic Park and we want to afford as many residents an opportunity to take in a game as possible".

Eastlake Mayor Ted Andrzejewski echoed Seymour's comments, stating, "The City of Eastlake thanks the Captains organization for making the $1 ticket price available to Eastlake residents. This is a welcome gesture to show the Captains appreciation to the residents of Eastlake for their support of the team and for their tax dollars helping to pay for Classic Park. I hope many Eastlake residents will take advantage of this special offer".

The Captains home opener is April 11 at 7 PM as the Captains welcome the Dayton Dragons, an affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds, to Classic Park.

Full season tickets plans, 7-, 12-, 20-, and 35-game mini ticket plans for the 2011 season are on sale now at great prices complete with several exclusive benefits. Information can be found at the Captains website www.captainsbaseball.com .
