Drillers Hang on Late for 5th Straight Win
Tulsa Extends Franchise Record Home Winning Streak to 12 with 3-2 Win on OKC Thunder Night

Tulsa, OK - Playing in yet another critical game Saturday night, the Tulsa Drillers looked as if they would cruise to their fifth straight victory as Yadier Alvarez set the tone on the mound with six shutout innings. But the San Antonio Missions made things interesting late before the Drillers bullpen ultimately hung on to secure a 3-2 victory at ONEOK Field.
The win was the 12th straight at home for Tulsa which extends a franchise record for the most consecutive victories at home. The previous record was nine straight which was accomplished by the 2004 Drillers squad.
The victory also kept the Drillers within a game of the Springfield Cardinals for the top spot in the Texas League's North Division after Springfield also won its game Saturday night.
