Drew Beckie Transferred to OKC Energy

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Jacksonville Armada FC announced Thursday the transfer of defender Drew Beckie to OKC Energy FC of the United Soccer League. The details of the transfer were not disclosed.

Beckie came to Jacksonville ahead of the 2017 NASL Spring Season. He totaled 2,428 minutes for the Armada FC in 30 matches from 2017-2018. In 2017 he created seven chances and tallied two assists and one goal. He was named to the NASL Team of the Week twice and to the NASL Team of the Month in May 2017.

Beckie grew up in Denver, Colorado, but was born in Regina, Saskatchewan, and represented Canada at the youth level. He went on to play at the University of Denver and was the 28th overall pick in the 2013 MLS SuperDraft by the Columbus Crew. He moved on to play for the Ottawa Fury for two years in the NASL and then the Carolina Railhawks, now known as North Carolina FC, before joining the Armada FC.
