Vero Beach Devil Rays News Release

VERO BEACH, FL – The Vero Beach Dodgers will once again be creating a winter wonderland at Dodgertown for numerous deserving families from Indian River County. The staff of Dodgertown will host a holiday party for Community Child Resources Inc., a United Way Agency on Sunday, December 19, 2004 from 1–3 p.m. More than 60 children and their families will be invited to attend this special event. Being a part of the Indian River and the Vero Beach communities is something that the Dodgers highly value. The Dodgers' perspective is that helping others is everyone's responsibility and privilege.

With that in mind, the Dodgers have planned a fun-filled day that will include a barbecue lunch and a variety of activities like face painting and holiday arts and crafts. Santa Claus will also make a special appearance and present each child with a gift.

Community Child Resources Inc., ensures the availability and affordability of high quality early childhood development programs and family support programs to low-income working families of Indian River County. It is also part of the Success by Six Program.

The Dodgers are seeking corporate and/or private sponsors to partner with Dodgertown to make this event even more successful. Anyone who is interested in donating financially or with goods or services to help make this a true community effort can contact Mary Beth Higgins at (772) 569-4900 ext. 5005.
