
Dan Comiskey Named Esks Nominee for Tom Pate Award

Edmonton, AB - Veteran offensive lineman Dan Comiskey is the Edmonton Eskimos nominee for the 2003 Tom Pate award, the club announced today. A second year Eskimo and seven year CFL'er, Comiskey has taken a leadership role in the community and is a much sought-after speaker in the Eskimos "Stay in School" program. Comiskey also serves as the honourary chairperson for the Canadian Cancer Society (Edmonton unit).
The Tom Pate Award is presented annually by the CFL Players Association to the player who makes outstanding contributions to his team, his community and his sport.
The Edmonton Eskimos are defending the turf at Commonwealth Stadium. Tickets for the 2003 CFL West Division Championship, to be held on November 9, are on sale now.
