Player Notes
United midfielder Paul Arriola made his first start for United since returning from the U.S. Men's National Team; Arriola started in the USMNT's match against Brazil on Sept. 7 at MetLife Stadium.
Forward Darren Mattocks returned to the Black-and-Red following international duty with Jamaica; he scored a brace in Jamaica's 4-0 win over the Cayman Islands on Sept. 9.
Mattocks scored his 10th goal of the season in the 69th minute. Mattocks is United's first double-digit goalscorer since 2015 when Chris Rolfe scored 10.
Midfielder Luciano Acosta assisted on both goals in the match. Acosta's 12 assists is third most in MLS and a new career-high for the Argentinian.
United midfielder Ulises Segura scored his second goal of 2018 in the 65th minute. The goal was Segura's first since his game-winning goal in the 1-0 win over the Columbus Crew on April 14 at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium.
Defender Joseph Mora recorded his second assist of 2018 when he assisted Mattocks' 69th minute goal. The assist was Mora's first since May 26 at LAFC.
