D.C. United acquires Revolution's Final Natural Selection in 2014 MLS SuperDraft

Washington, D.C. - D.C. United today announced the club has acquired the New England Revolution's final natural selection in the 2014 MLS SuperDraft in exchange for the rights to 27-year-old forward Charlie Davies.

Davies was acquired on loan by D.C. United from FC Sochaux of Ligue 1 (France) on Feb. 15, 2011. The former U.S. international first saw action with the Black-and-Red on March 19, 2011, scoring two goals in a substitute appearance against the Columbus Crew. Davies finished the 2011 campaign with 11 goals and one assist in 26 matches. After his stint with United, Davies briefly returned to Sochaux before inking a two-year deal with Danish side Randers FC, where he made 23 appearances for the club.
