Cincinnati Cyclones News Release

CINCINNATI, Ohio - The Cincinnati Cyclones, proud affiliate of the NHL's Florida Panthers and Nashville Predators, announced today that they have agreed to terms with forward Mike Embach for the 2013-14 season.

Embach, a 25-year-old Orland Park, Illinois native, will don a Cincinnati jersey for the second consecutive year after collecting 34 points (18 goals, 16 assists) in 55 regular season games - the fourth most tallies on the club in 2012-13. In addition, he led the Cyclones during the Kelly Cup Playoffs with 17 points (5 goals, 12 assists) in 17 contests. The third-year professional also paced Cyclones players in playoff game-winning goals (3). Embach earned his first professional AHL call-up this past season as well, skating in two games with the Lake Erie Monsters - where he notched an assist.

"Mike was one of our most important players down the stretch and in the playoffs," said Cyclones Head Coach Jarrod Skalde. "The bigger the game, the better he plays. I'm very glad to have him back in the fold this year."

The countdown to the 2013 First Face-Off is officially on! The Cyclones open the season at U.S. Bank Arena against the Wheeling Nailers on Saturday, October 19 at 7:30pm.
