MANCHESTER, N.H. - The Altoona Curve split a double-header against the New Hampshire Fisher Cats on Saturday night, coming from behind to win game one, 7-5, before dropping the nightcap, 5-1.

The Curve (64-60) fell to one game back in the Eastern League Western Division standings and are now two games ahead in the wild card chase after the split with the Fisher Cats (50-74).

Game One

Jerrick Suiter hit a two-run homer and a game-tying single in the sixth as the Curve beat the Fisher Cats, 7-5.

Suiter drove a two-out single to right to even the score at 5-5 in the top of the sixth. Jordan George followed with a two-run double to put the Curve ahead, 7-5.

Tate Scioneaux (Save, 13) worked the final two innings and allowed just one baserunner to finish the game.

The Curve took a 3-0 lead in the top of the first inning. Anderson Feliz hit an RBI single to bring home Pablo Reyes, and Suiter followed with a two-run homer to right-center field.

New Hampshire answered with three runs in the second to even the score.

Altoona moved back ahead, 4-3, with an RBI groundout by Feliz in the fourth.

In the bottom of the fifth, former Curve catcher Reese McGuire hit a solo homer to tie the score, his fifth of the season. Derrick Loveless put the Fisher Cats ahead, 5-4, with an RBI single.

Altoona starter Austin Coley allowed five earned runs over 4.1 innings, matching a season high with 10 hits allowed. Brandon Cumpton (Win, 3-3) worked 0.2 scoreless innings, allowing one hit.

New Hampshire starting pitcher Sean Reid-Foley (Loss, 8-11) allowed six earned runs on a career-high 11 hits with three walks and five strikeouts. The Curve brought in the tying and go-ahead runs with Dusty Isaacs on the mound, who allowed one run of his own on two hits with three strikeouts.

Justin Maffei went 3-for-4 and scored a run. Suiter finished the game 3-for-4 with a homer and three RBIs. Jordan George and Jin-De Jhang each had two hits.

Game Two

New Hampshire opened an early lead and cruised to a 5-1 win in the second game of the double-header.

In the first inning, Lourdes Gurriel hit a two-run homer off of Casey Sadler (Loss, 1-3) to open the scoring.

New Hampshire added two runs in the fourth to pull ahead, 4-0.

The Curve broke onto the scoreboard with an RBI single by Maffei in the fifth, but it was their only run of the game.

The Fisher Cats added an insurance run in the sixth inning.

Sadler allowed four earned runs on five hits over five innings with a season-high eight strikeouts. He fanned six batters over the first two innings. Cody Dickson allowed one run on two hits with a walk and two strikeouts In one inning of work.

New Hampshire starter Conner Greene (Win, 5-9) allowed one run over five innings on four hits. Andrew Case (Save, 7) stranded a pair of Curve baserunners in the seventh to close out the game for the Fisher Cats.

The Curve and Fisher Cats wrap up the series with the finale of three games on Sunday afternoon. Right-hander J.T. Brubaker (7-4, 4.51) will be on the mound for the Curve, opposed by New Hampshire lefty Ryan Borucki (1-3, 2.16). First pitch is scheduled for 1:35 p.m. at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium.
