Crown Legacy FC Signs Jacob Williams

Charlotte, NC - Crown Legacy FC today announced the Club has signed attacker Jacob Williams after an accomplished collegiate career at Navy.

Williams is already familiar with Crown Legacy FC, featuring in the Club's pilot program during the fall of 2022.

"Jacob comes to us with a lot experience in the college ranks," said Head Coach Jose Tavares. "During his time at Navy, Jacob has proven to be an attacker with great potential and an eye for goal. We were able to see him flourish in our system when he joined our pilot program last fall, and we are excited to see him grow and succeed here as he has in his previous stops."

Williams, who can play both in the midfield or as a forward, earned countless honors during his time with the Midshipmen, including 2021 Patriot League Player of the Year, 2018 Patriot League Rookie of the year and First Team All-Patriot League, three of his four seasons. Williams netted 23 goals along with eight assists throughout his collegiate career, tied for fifth-most goals in Navy history.

Prior to Navy, the attacker played for prestigious MLS NEXT club Baltimore Armour which has also produced Charlotte FC midfielder and former MLS Superdraft First Overall pick Ben Bender.
