Edinburg, TX; March 22, 2007- The Edinburg Coyotes of United League Baseball (ULB) announced today that former Assistant General Manager Brett Lindahl has been named the new Associate General Manager of the Edinburg Coyotes. Lindahl will now assume control of the day to day operations of the Edinburg franchise effective immediately. Lindahl replaces Michael Beasley who was the first General Manager of the Coyotes who resigned on February 7th 2007.

The 2007 season will be Lindahl's second with the Edinburg Coyotes, his fourth season in professional baseball and his sixth season in professional sports. Prior to joining the Coyotes he worked with the Rockford RiverHawks (Frontier League) and the Asheville Altitude (National Basketball Assoc. D-League). Brett also served as Assistant Men's and Women's Soccer coach for two years at Parkland College in Champaign, IL. The Chicago, Illinois native has a Sport Management degree from Northern Illinois University. Brett previously held the title of Director of Group Sales with the Edinburg Coyotes.

"Brett is the right person to lead the Edinburg franchise and we have every bit of confidence he will take that team to the next level," United League President/Executive General Manager Craig Brasfield said. "Hiring from within is special because it means you have a good core of staff members." "Promoting Brett adds to the continuity of the staff and allows the Coyotes to not skip a beat. We are happy with our decision," Brasfield added.

"I think it's a tremendous opportunity within United League Baseball I feel honored that they have selected me to lead the charge here in Edinburg," Lindahl said. "There is great opportunity for growth here in Edinburg and the rest of the Upper Rio Grande Valley and I think with the momentum we had to end 2006, we will blow people away in 2007."

The Edinburg Coyotes are members of United League Baseball, an independent league of six professional baseball teams located in Texas and Louisiana. The United League is preparing for its second season this summer with teams located in Amarillo, Edinburg, Laredo, Harlingen, and San Angelo, Texas; and Alexandria, Louisiana. The ULB will play a 100-game schedule between May and August 2007. Opening Day for all of United League Baseball is May 8, 2007.
