COVID Vaccine Requirement Removed for Chiefs Games Starting in March

Spokane, Wash. - The Washington state mandate requiring proof of COVID vaccine or negative test for indoor events of over 1,000 people will be discontinued starting on March 1, as announced by Governor Jay Inslee on Thursday. The change applies to five regular season Spokane Chiefs home games at Spokane Arena as well as the 2022 WHL Playoffs.
Chiefs home games impacted by the change include:
Wednesday, March 9 vs. Vancouver - TicketsWest Player Magnet Giveaway
Saturday, March 12 vs. Tri-City - Miller Lite St. Paddy's Day Jersey Giveaway
Tuesday, March 15 vs. Everett - TicketsWest Player Magnet Giveaway
Saturday, March 19 vs. Tri-City - Coca-Cola Family Feast Night
Wednesday, April 6 vs. Everett - Coeur d'Alene Casino BINGO Night & Regular Season Finale
Proof of vaccine or negative test will still be required for the Chiefs' two remaining home games in February - on Friday, Feb. 25 and Saturday, Feb. 26. The removal of the vaccine mandate will begin with the game on March 9.
The Governor also announced that the indoor mask requirement would be eliminated on March 21, impacting the Chiefs' home game on April 6 and any 2022 playoff contests.
