Columbus Crew SC Midfielder Eduardo Sosa Undergoes Successful Knee Procedure

COLUMBUS - Columbus Crew SC today announced that midfielder Eduardo Sosa underwent successful meniscectomy on his right knee on Tuesday and is expected to be sidelined for approximately four to six weeks. The procedure was performed in Columbus by Dr. Pete Edwards.
Sosa, 22, is in his first season with Crew SC after joining the club on January 9, 2018. Since then, the Venezuelan midfielder has made seven regular-season appearances (two starts), scoring one goal - a game-winning strike against Real Salt Lake on June 30. Prior to joining the Black & Gold, Sosa was with Zamora FC of the Venezuelan First Division from 2013-2017, winning three League titles while making 59 appearances (38 starts) and scoring nine goals.
