Cobras Re-Sign Tyron Laughinghouse
GREENSBORO - Carolina's top receiver in 2018, Tyron Laughinghouse (6'2", 190), has re-signed with the team for the 2019 season.
"It's an honor to be back home with my brothers," says Laughinghouse humbly. "We've created a bond over the last three years."
Laughinghouse led the Cobras in receiving yards over the course of the regular season, compiling 805 off of 70 receptions, despite missing the last three games due to an ankle injury. Laughinghouse also missed the playoff semi-final game against Jacksonville before returning in the championship game against Columbus, where he had two catches for 71 yards and two touchdowns.
Head Coach Billy Back is excited to see Laughinghouse stay with the team. "There isn't another receiver in our game that we felt struck more fear into opposing teams than House did," Back states. "He's the perfect combination of height, speed, and quickness and gives us multiple options inside, outside, and over the top. This is a huge signing for Cobra Nation by adding back another big weapon to help us repeat as champions."
This will be Laughinghouse's fourth year playing under coach Back.
Laughinghouse originates from Greenville, North Carolina, and attended Saint Augustine University in Raleigh, North Carolina, where he played football.
