 Fargo Force

Clark Cup Final Preview (Games 3 & 4)

May 20, 2021 - United States Hockey League (USHL)
Fargo Force News Release

The Fargo Force are back on home ice this weekend for games 3 and 4 of the Clark Cup best-of-five championship series. The Force and the Steel both head into Friday and Saturday's games with one win apiece meaning the Clark Cup is within reach for both teams this weekend.

The Force took game one last weekend 3-0 highlighted by a big 20 save shutout from goaltender Andrew Miller, followed by a 4-1 Chicago win the following night thanks to two empty net goals late in the third period.

Fargo's defense in both games last weekend stifled the explosive Chicago offense, shutting down many Steel opportunities and allowing only 20 SOG in night one. The PK was on fire for the Force going 8/8 against the leading powerplay team in the league. Goaltending also played a huge factor in last weekend's success as Miller made some huge saves to keep the Force in it at all times.

Chicago played a solid defensive game as well getting sticks on pucks and breaking up some big Force opportunities. This weekend's contest will be all about capitalizing on chances, as neither team has given up much in this Clark Cup Final series. Taking advantage of every opportunity will make the difference in these two upcoming games.

Chicago and Fargo have 5 players apiece in the top 10 leading playoff scorers. First for the Force is Tristan Broz with 3 goals and 6 assists and leading the Steel is Matt Coronato with 7 goals and 3 assists.

Tickets for Friday and Saturday's games are on sale and available at ticketmaster.com, seats are selling fast so don't forget to buy your tickets ahead of time to cheer on the Force as they look to claim the Clark Cup for the second time in team history this weekend!
