Saint John Sea Dogs News Release
Sea Dogs defenceman William Villeneuve was named the CHL Player of the Night for October 10th after his four assists against the Halifax Mooseheads.
The 17-year-old blue liner was drafted second overall to the Sea Dogs in the 2018 QMJHL Entry Draft. Now in his second season with Saint John, William is currently tied with fellow Sea Dog Jérémie Poirier for most points by a defenceman in the QMJHL.
It's been a good week for Villeneuve who on Monday was named in the NHL Central Scouting's 'Players to Watch' list where he received a 'C' rating.
Catch William and the rest of your Sea Dogs tonight at TD Station when they take on the Val-d'Or Foreurs at 7PM. In celebration of Irving Oil Fuel The Care, fans can use the online only promo code FUELTHECARE to receive a $5 discount on tickets with $5 going towards the Saint John Regional Hospital Foundation.
