Chivas USA continues its MLS play this Saturday when it hosts Western Conference rival the Colorado Rapids at The Home Depot Center in its first of three meetings this season. The Rojiblancos (3-1-1) have won three out of their last four matches and are unbeaten in four straight games to secure sole possession of second place with 10 points.

With a win on Saturday, the Rebaño Angelino would equal a franchise-best record through the first six matches. The 2009 Chivas USA squad started the season with a record of 4-1-1 and went on to make the playoffs.

GOATS NOTES

Red-and-White lead MLS with 10 Goals

The Red-and-White have recorded a league-high 10 goals through the first five games this season. Despite coming off a bye week, the Goats remain at the top of the scoring lead tied with FC Dallas, which has played a game more.

Goal Distribution

With a league-leading 10 goals scored, seven different players have scored for the Rojiblancos so far, with forward Juan Agudelo leading the way with his two scores.

Knocking In Goals in 2013

Five matches into the 2013 campaign and Chivas USA has already knocked in a league-high 10 goals. The 2012 squad did not record its 10th goal until the 15th match of the season. In addition, last year's club had just one three-goal performance, while this year's squad, under the guidance of new Head Coach Jose Luis Sanchez Sola "Chelis," has already had two victories with three goals or better.

Defensive Goats

Chivas USA's defense has also played a key part in its four-game unbeaten streak. Since March 10, the Goats have allowed just one goal per match. Goalkeeper and captain Dan Kennedy leads the Red-and-White defense with his league-high 23 saves.

Rojiblancos vs. Rapids Facts

* The all-time series began in 2005 in Chivas USA's inaugural season.

* Saturday's match is the 23rd all-time meeting between the clubs.

* In 22 matches, the sides have combined to average nearly three goals per game (2.9).

* In the all-time series, the majority of the goals have come in the second half for both clubs, more specifically between the 76-90th minutes.

* In 11 meetings between the clubs at The Home Depot Center, Colorado holds the advantage at 7-4.
