Chiefs to select eight in Bantam Draft

The Spokane Chiefs will have the eighth overall selection tomorrow morning in the Western Hockey League's 14th Annual Bantam Draft. The draft will take place in Calgary, Alberta beginning at 8:00 am (PDT).
The WHL Bantam Draft is a talent identification process which serves as the first opportunity for WHL teams to add 1989 born players to their respective 50 player lists. Following the Draft, WHL clubs can add 1989 born players to their 50 player list at anytime during the player's junior eligibility. Numerous players are not selected during the Bantam Draft but develop and make WHL clubs at a later date.
During the playoffs the Chiefs featured five former first round selections on their roster; Jeff Lucky (1998), Brad Schell (1999), Chad Klassen (2000), Steven Gillen (2001) and Adam Hobson (2002).
Following is the order of selection for the 1st round of the Bantam Draft.
