
Chiefs select fourth in first round

The Spokane Chiefs will select fourth overall in the 2005 WHL Bantam Draft following the Bantam Draft Lottery on Wednesday morning at the Western Hockey League office in Calgary, Alberta.
The Regina Pats will select first overall after one their balls was drawn in the weighted lottery. The second selection will be by the Swift Current Broncos and the third selection will be made by the Prince George Cougars. The 2005 WHL Bantam Draft will be held in Calgary, May 5th.
The lottery involved the four non-playoff teams (Prince George, Regina, Spokane and Swift Current) from the 2004-05 season and determined the order of the first four picks in the first round of the Bantam Draft.
Following is the order of selection for the 1st round of the Bantam Draft.

3) Prince George Cougars
4) Spokane Chiefs
5) Moose Jaw Warriors
6) Kamloops Blazers
7) Tri-City Americans
8) Prince Albert Raiders
9) Vancouver Giants
10) Everett Silvertips

12) Red Deer Rebels
13) Calgary Hitmen
14) Saskatoon Blades
15) Lethbridge Hurricanes
16) Seattle Thunderbirds
17) Brandon Wheat Kings

Following is the order of selection for the 2nd and all further rounds of the Bantam Draft.

Eligible players for the Bantam Draft will be 1990 born players who reside in Alberta, B.C., Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Northwest Territories, Yukon, Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Kansas, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, Washington and Wyoming.
