Peoria Chiefs News Release
Peoria, IL - The scheduled Wednesday night game between the Peoria Chiefs and Quad Cities River Bandits was postponed due to wet grounds at O'Brien Field and an ominous forecast Wednesday night.
As a result, there will be a doubleheader Thursday beginning at 5:00 PM. Jeff Beliveau (0-0) will throw for the Chiefs in game one and Chris Carpenter (1-2) will pitch in game two. Both pitchers for the River Bandits are TBA. On Thursday kids 12 and younger attend the game for free when accompanied by an adult with a limit of four kids per adult. This offer is only valid at the O'Brien Field Box Office and tickets can be purchased in advance. It is also prom night on Throwback Thursday when O'Brien Field will celebrate all things prom with prom dresses, music, decorations and themes. The doubleheader can be heard live beginning with the pre-game show at 4:45 PM online at www.peoriachiefs.com or on ESPN 96.5.
