Chicago Sky Waive Leslie Robinson, Pallas Kunaiyi-Akpanah

May 8, 2019 - Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA) - Chicago Sky News Release

CHICAGO - The Chicago Sky have waived forwards Leslie Robinson and Pallas Kunaiyi-Akpanah, the team announced today.

Robison was signed to a training camp on April 30 after spending the WNBA offseason playing overseas in Germany, where she averaged 22 points, 12.6 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game. She competed in two preseason games with the New York Liberty last season after being selected out of Princeton with the No. 34 overall pick of the 2018 WNBA Draft.

Kunaiyi-Akpana was added to Chicago's training camp roster on May 3. The 6-foot-2 Abuja, Nigeria native recently finished her four-year career at Northwestern University with 1,112 career rebounds, the second-most in Wildcats' history.

Chicago's veteran guard Courtney Vandersloot will rejoin her teammates at training camp for the first time Thursday, after leading UMMC Ekaterinburg to the EuroLeague Women championship alongside Sky General Manager and Head Coach James Wade, who served as assistant coach on the Russian team.

Victoria Macaulay, a 6-4 center who signed a training camp contract with the Sky on February 18, will also join the team Thursday after completing overseas play. She returns to Chicago after previously competing in four games with the Sky in 2015.

The Chicago Sky will open the preseason on May 14 against the Indiana Fever at Wintrust Arena. Tickets are on sale by visiting sky.wnba.com or by calling (866) SKY-WNBA.
