SOUMARE WITH GENERATION ADIDAS PROGRAM

Fire defender Bakary Soumare is in London with the Generation adidas program to train and compete during the off season. Soumare started and played 90 minutes in the Generation adidas squad's 1-0 loss to the Reading reserves today. Under the direction of Frank Yallop of the San Jose Earthquakes, the MLS players will face Chelsea's reserves on Wednesday, Dec. 10, and Aston Villa's reserves on Thursday, Dec. 11.

FIRE PARTICIPATE IN GARTH BROOKS FOUNDATION

Chicago Fire players Jon Busch, Chris Rolfe, Justin Mapp, Logan Pause, John Thorrington, and Brandon Prideaux, as well as assistant coach Daryl Shore participated in the Garth Brooks Foundation's Teammates For Kids program this season with each athlete making donations to the Foundation. The teammates made goals, shutouts, games played, and wins count for kids around the world by making financial contributions based on their on-field performance. On Dec. 12 and 13, Busch, Prideaux, Mapp, Rolfe, and Shore will attend the Teammates Winter Appreciation Party at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada for a relaxing and informative weekend that will include a private concert in the Colosseum featuring Garth Brooks. SPARKY TO SHOW HIS FOOTBALL SKILLS AT BEARS GAME

Sparky will be making a special appearance on Thursday night, Dec. 11, during halftime of the Bears' game at Soldier Field. The Chicago Fire mascot and 14 other area mascots will face off in a soft-tackle football scrimmage against the South Elgin Patriots ‘Eighty-pound Silver' team of the Patriot program. The program offers football and cheerleading for children ages seven through 14.

BLANCO'S ‘DIRECTO AL BLANCO' RADIO PROGRAM TUESDAY

"Directo al Blanco" a full-hour live radio program hosted by Fire midfielder Cuauhtémoc Blanco and airs Tuesdays at 6:00 p.m. CT. Listeners are encouraged to call and talk to Blanco about the latest soccer-related news regarding the Chicago Fire, Major League Soccer, and the Mexican Primera Division. The show airs nationally on RadioCadena stations in Chicago (WRTO-AM), Las Vegas (KLSQ-AM), Los Angeles (KTNQ-AM), San Francisco (KLOK-AM), El Paso (KAMA-AM), San Antonio (KCOR-AM), Dallas (KFLC-AM), McAllen (KGBT-AM), Houston (KLAT-AM), New York (WADO-AM), and Miami (WQBA-AM).
