- Courtney Vandersloot reached double-figures in assists for the 46th time in her career.

- It was her highest assist total on a season opener in Vandersloot's career (previous high 8 in 2019).

- With today's game, the Chicago Sky officially celebrated the start of its 15th season as a WNBA franchise.

- Forward Azurá Stevens made her first appearance as a member of the Sky after being acquired from Dallas in the offseason.

- Ruthy Hebard made her WNBA debut after stepping onto the court for the first time in the second half.

- With only two full WNBA seasons under her belt, Diamond DeShields celebrated her 2,000th WNBA career-minute when she reached 5 minutes of play in today's game. Kahleah Copper also surpassed the 2,000-minute career mark, in her third minute.

- Vandersloot became the team's all-time leader in seasons played for the franchise (10) with her appearance today.

- ESPN's Ryan Ruocco on fourth-quarter of game: "Chicago is showing just how talented they are."
