CFL Combine Presented by Reebok Returns to Toronto March 22-24

Toronto, ON - (March 13, 2013) - The 2013 CFL Combine presented by Reebok will host more than 50 of Canada's top football prospects eligible for the upcoming draft. The three-day event from March 22-24 is an opportunity for general managers, coaches and scouts to test, interview and evaluate prospects who they may select in the 2013 CFL Draft on Monday, May 6 at Noon ET.

This year's camp features nine of the a69f324f4e40 top 15 Canadian prospects as identified by the CFL's Scouting Bureau, including the second ranked player Matt Sewell, a 6'8", 335 pound offensive lineman from McMasterUniversity.

Canadian university football continues to be well represented at the event, as 46 of the 51 combine invitees are from CIS programs.

This year's scouting combine includes two quarterbacks, Myles Gibbon (York) and Cayman Shutter (Hawaii). Also attending this year's combine is Justin Chapdelaine from Queen's University, the son of BC Lions offensive coordinator Jacques Chapdelaine.

The 2013 CFL Combine presented by Reebok kicks off Friday afternoon with player arrivals, medicals and team interviews. On Saturday the players' strength, athleticism and flexibility will be tested at the Park Hyatt Toronto Hotel. The camp finishes on the football field at Varsity Centre at the University of Toronto on Sunday.

The CFL is also hosting two regional combines in Edmonton on March 18 and Quebec City on March 20. The top performing players eligible for the 2013 draft may be invited to participate in the CFL Combine in Toronto.

As part of this year's CFL Combine, the CFL Rules Committee will meet on Thursday, March 21 to discuss proposed rule changes, followed by a vote on those proposals on Friday.
