Calgary, AB - Luka Burzan scored 16 seconds into overtime to propel the Brandon Wheat Kings past the Calgary Centennials 6-5 on Friday night at the Stampede Corral.

It was the first game of "The Corral Series" presented by Adrenalin Source for Sports with the Calgary Hitmen to wear Calgary Cowboys jerseys on Wednesday, Feb. 6 against Regina and Calgary Wranglers jerseys on Friday, Feb. 9 against Prince Albert. Both games are 7:00 p.m. starts in the Corral.

Friday's loss snapped a four game winning streak for the Centennials but created a five-game point streak thanks to the tying goal from Luke Coleman with 1:42 remaining in the third period. It was Coleman's second marker of the night.

Mark Kastelic also scored twice for Calgary with Tye Carriere adding a single.

Ben McCartney netted two goals for Brandon while Caiden Daley, Stelio Mattheos and Connor Gutenberg rounded out the scoring.

The game was tightly contested throughout with Calgary owning leads of 1-0, 3-2 and 4-3. Brandon held advantages of 2-1 and 5-4.

Final shots were 37-32 for the Wheat Kings in front of 5,087 fans.

The Centennials return to Hitmen form tomorrow, Saturday, Feb. 2 and will visit the Red Deer Rebels. Radio broadcast on Sportsnet 960-The Fan begins at 7:00 p.m.
