Ceglarski Returns to Havoc for Second Season

August 3, 2018 - Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) - Huntsville Havoc News Release

HUNTSVILLE - Huntsville Havoc Head Coach Glenn Detulleo has announced forward Jack Ceglarski will return for his second year with the reigning President's Cup champions.

"We're excited to have Jack returning to help us in our quest to repeat," said Detulleo. "He has the chance to contribute in all situations and play a bigger role in our offense."

The Byfield, Massachusetts, native played 37 games with the Havoc last season, scoring 10 goals and recording 13 assists as a forward. Ceglarski (6-1, 186) earned SPHL Warrior Player of the Week honors on Nov. 7, 2017, by notching four points (2g, 2a) in an 8-3 win against the Fayetteville Marksmen, helping set a Havoc team record for scoring in the home opener.

It was only his fourth game playing for Huntsville.

"This is a premiere organization and coming back to don the jersey again is an honor," said Ceglarski. "We play in front of the best fans, not just in the SPHL, but in all of minor league hockey, and we're going to need all of them to help defend the cup!"

Ceglarski, who turned 26 last month, was also the team's first call-up last season. After only 15 games with the Havoc, he was loaned to the Reading (Pennsylvania) Royals of the ECHL for two months before returning to Huntsville to help the team bring home the SPHL President's Cup championship.

Ceglarski played four seasons at SUNY-Geneseo where he served as team captain his senior season. He recorded 73 points in 110 games with the Knights and finished his senior campaign with career-highs of 23 points and 18 assists.

Ceglarski joins fellow second-year forward Tyler Piacentini, playoff MVP Sy Nutkevitch and the recently announced Trevor Gerling on the Havoc training camp roster.
