Cayla George Named Player of the Week
Arlington, TX - Cayla George has been named Dallas Wings player of the week for her outstanding performance Nov. 8-15 with the Melbourne Boomers.
The 6-4 center went 2-0 for the week, helping the Boomers defeat the Sydney Flames and the Townsville Fire.
In the two games played, George combined for a total of 33 points, 14 rebounds, three assists and four steals. Her best performance occurred on Nov. 8 where she scored 27 points, eight rebounds and four assists.
She currently ranks in the top 10 of the WNBL in total rebounds and assists, averaging 7.6 total boards and 2.9 assists per game. For the Boomers, George leads in total rebounds and ranks as the third best scorer with 12.4 points per game.
