Cardinals Announce Hiring of Matt Davis to Front Office

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. - Boyd Sports, LLC is excited to announce the hiring of Matt Davis as the new Broadcaster with the Johnson City Cardinals. Matt will replace Justin Rocke, who accepted a position with the Greeneville Reds as their Broadcaster.

From New Jersey and Texas, Matt is a graduate of Fort Worth Country Day School in Fort Worth, Texas and the University of Alabama.

Prior to joining the Cardinals, Matt worked as an on-air radio producer for Cumulus Media in Birmingham, Alabama. During the summer of 2017, he was the Broadcast/Media Relations Intern with the Purcellville Cannons of the Valley Baseball League, a Collegiate Wood Bat League in Virginia. With the Cardinals, Matt will handle all broadcast duties as well as media relations.

"It's been my dream to be a professional broadcaster since I was a kid and I can't think of a better organization to be a part of, than the Cardinals," said Davis. "I know the Cardinals have had great broadcasters in the past, and I'm looking forward to continuing that tradition and bringing a fun and entertaining broadcast to the fans. I'm excited to be a member of the Johnson City Cardinals!"
