(Midland, MI)- The Loons loaded the bases in the second inning on Felix Sterling. Charlie Mirabal walked driving in his first run of the season giving Great Lakes a 1-0 win over Lake County at Dow Diamond on Thursday night.
Greg Wilborn (2-2) picked up the win throwing five scoreless innings, allowing five hits, walking two and striking out six. Scott McGough pitched the ninth for his fourth save of the season. Felix Sterling (2-0) took the loss allowing a run on two hits, walking seven and striking out five in five inning of work.
Lake County will wrap up their road trip and series with Great Lakes on Friday night at Dow Diamond with first pitch set at 7:05PM. The Captains will start LHP JD Reichenbach (5-1) against LHP Ryan Christenson (7-7) for the Loons. Catch all the action AM 1330 WELW or online at captainsbaseball.com.
