'Canes Assign Four Players to Charlotte

RALEIGH, NC - Don Waddell, President and General Manager of the National Hockey League's Carolina Hurricanes, today announced that the team has assigned forwards Clark Bishop and Julien Gauthier and defenseman Jake Bean to the Charlotte Checkers (AHL). The Hurricanes have also assigned defenseman Trevor Carrick to Charlotte, pending waivers.

The Hurricanes' training camp roster now stands at 31 players and is attached to this release. Carolina will practice as one group Thursday morning at PNC Arena at 8:45 a.m.
