Trois-Rivieres 8, Ottawa 7 - Box Score

Trois-Rivieres jumped out to a 6-1 lead after three innings of play and would have to hold on late to edge past Ottawa by the score of 8-7.

After the Aigles rolled out to the five-run lead, the Champions plated four runs in the fifth to cut their deficit to 6-5. Trois-Rivieres would add single runs in the sixth and seventh to push the lead back out to 8-5 before Ottawa made a rally in the ninth, scoring a pair of runs and getting the tying run thrown out at the plate to end the contest.

Second baseman David Glaude led the way offensively for the Aigles going 3-for-5 with a home run, two runs scored and three RBIs. Trois-Rivieres RF Francis Desilets had a three-hit game with a run scored while 1B Joe Deluca and DH Levon Washington each had two hits in four at-bats along with a run scored and an RBI. In total, the Aigles had 13 hits in the contest.

Trois-Rivieres starting pitcher Garrett Harris tossed five innings and picked-up the win. The righty gave up four earned runs on five hits and struck out five batters. With the victory, Harris is now a perfect 4-0 on the season.

Rockland 5, New Jersey 4 - Box Score

Rockland scored two runs in the fifth inning to take a 5-2 lead and would have to hold off a late New Jersey rally to win by a 5-4 final. With the victory, the Boulders took two of three in the series and have now won seven of their last nine games.

The Boulders jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first inning thanks to a double by 1B Matt Oberste and a single by C Adam Ehrlich. New Jersey would cut the deficit to 2-1 in the bottom of the inning on a groundout by LF Alfredo Marte. The Boulders and Jackals would each score a run in the fourth before Rockland plated two more in the fifth to grab a 5-2 advantage. New Jersey added single runs in the seventh and eighth innings to make it 5-4 but would come up short in their comeback.

Oberste went 2-for-4 with a run scored and two RBI while DH Richie Fecteau launched a home run and 3B John Brontsema plated a pair of runs.

Boulders starter Pasquale Mazzoccoli allowed an earned run over six innings of work to earn the win. The 27-year-old gave up two walks and five hits to go with three strikeouts. Mazzoccoli is now 2-1 on the season with the victory.

Sussex County 8, Quebec 6 - Box Score

Sussex County scored five runs in the sixth inning to overcome a 6-3 deficit and beat Quebec by the score of 8-6.

The Miners had 10 hits in the contest with three batters having multi-hit games. Sussex County RF Noah Cummings went 2-for-4 with a run scored and two RBIs while SS Jarred Mederos had two hits in five at-bats along with two runs batted in. First baseman Audy Ciriaco also helped the Miners offense by scoring two runs and driving in one.

Sussex County pitcher Kevin Grendell tossed three scoreless innings of relief to pick-up his second win of the season. Grendell had a walk and five strikeouts in the 10 batters that he faced.

For Quebec in the losing effort, SS Michael Baca went 2-for-5 with a double, two runs scored and an RBI.
