Calgary Roughnecks Re-Sign Goaltender Christian Del Bianco to Multi-Year Deal

Calgary, AB - The Calgary Roughnecks have signed goaltender Christian Del Bianco to a multi-year contract ahead of the 2022-23 National Lacrosse League Season.

The Coquitlam, BC native is entering his seventh season in the NLL, having played all his career games in Calgary since being drafted by the Roughnecks in the second round, 15th overall in the 2015 Entry Draft. In 2019 he was named to the NLL All-Pro Second Team, and was starting goaltender for the Roughnecks NLL Championship win that same year with a perfect 4-0 record in the Playoffs.

"Christian is one of the top goalies in the NLL. Not only does he make saves, he makes timely saves" said Roughnecks General Manager, Mike Board. "He is also a big part of the transition game as he makes good, sharp passes out of the defensive zone. He's a smart goalie with excellent lacrosse IQ and is looked upon as a one of the leaders on the team."

"In this league, goalies are critical and for a team like ours, which is built from the goalie out, signing him to a multi-year contract is a very important piece of our puzzle and we are extremely pleased to have put that piece into place."
