C Yermin Mercedes promoted to Triple-A Charlotte

Winston-Salem Dash News Release
The Chicago White Sox have announced the following roster moves affecting the Winston-Salem Dash:
- C Yermin Mercedes promoted to Triple-A Charlotte from Winston-Salem
- C Daniel Gonzalez activated from the disabled list to Winston-Salem
This marks the first promotion for Mercedes to the Triple-A level in his career. A former Orioles and Nationals farmhand, Mercedes batted .235 with two homers and 10 RBIs with the Dash this season.
Gonzalez returns to the Dash roster for the third consecutive campaign. Last year, Gonzalez, who signed with the White Sox in 2013, batting .236 with one home run and 10 RBIs with the Dash. He spent the 2017 campaign with the Dash and Low-A Kannapolis.
The Dash's current roster stands at 25 players, the Carolina League maximum, with two on the disabled list.
