Bucks Seeking Nominations for 2019 First Responder All-Stars

Waterloo, Iowa - The Waterloo Bucks are seeking nominations for their All-Star First Responder Team. The Bucks will be honoring 10 First Responders who are currently serving or have served the Cedar Valley area as an EMT, Police Officer, Sheriff, Paramedic, or Firefighter before their June 9th game versus the Rochester Honkers as part of their First Responder Appreciation Day festivities.

First Responders who are chosen will not only be honored on the field but will also receive four tickets to that game and a customized Bucks All-Star First Responder jersey. That day, the Bucks take on the Honkers at 2:05 pm. Tickets to the game will be available starting May 1st.

Nominations for the All-Star First Responder Team will be taken until April 19th. Nomination forms can be accessed by visiting the Waterloo Bucks offices during normal business hours or online at Nominations can be e-mailed to the Bucks at or mailed directly to the Bucks offices. All Bucks home games are played at Cost Cutters Field at Riverfront Stadium which will host the 2019 Northwoods League All-Star Game. The ballpark welcomed a new state of the art video board in 2016 thanks to a matching grant from the Black Hawk County Gaming Association. Team ownership has invested more than $300,000 in improvements since the end of the 2014 season including painted bleachers, public Wi-Fi, sound system, group outing areas, kids zone inflatables, and concessions equipment.
