The Bucks snapped their four game losing streak last night with a 4-2 win in Corpus Christi. The win was head coach/GM Terry Ruskowski's 450th career victory (he has 236 wins with Laredo).

Jeff Bes tallied two goals and handed out an assist, while James Hiebert scored once and had two assists to lead the Bucks. Dustin Traylen made his return from the injured reserve list, setting aside 34 of 36 Rayz shots to pick up his 16th win in net. Three of Laredo's four goals were of the power-play variety.

With his three points last night Bes improved his team-leading point total to 64 (26-38=64). Bes is currently third in the league in scoring behind the Sundogs Alex Leavitt and Tyler Redenbach.

Defenseman Gord Burnett is slated to make his Bucks debut tonight. Burnett drove to Bossier City from Youngstown after he was traded on Wednesday. Derek Legault played in his first game for Laredo last night, finishing the night minus-one, while Gabe Yeung suited up but did not see a shift last night.

The Mudbugs are on a roll as of late as they have won 17 out of their last 18 games, with the only blemish in that span a 3-2 shootout loss in Youngstown last Sunday.

The Mudbugs come into tonight with a 15-game home winning streak, tying their franchise record for most consecutive home wins. Bossier has not lost at home since a 3-0 loss to Mississippi on November 2nd. Tonight will be the Mudbugs first home game since January 8th.

The Mudbugs have five players who have 30 or more points, and are led by Daniel Pegoraro (8-29=37).

Bossier has a two-headed goalie monster with John DeCaro and Ken Carrol combining for nine shutouts, with a 1.89 goals against average, and a .938 save percentage. DeCaro has six shutouts, while Carroll has posted three.

After tonight the Bucks will head back to Laredo for a day off Sunday, before practicing in Corpus Christi Monday and Tuesday.

Laredo will host league-leading Rocky Mountain Rage on Wednesday January 30th for the third-annual adopt a pet night. The Laredo Animal Protective Society will be on hand with several dogs and cats up for adoption. Tickets start as low as $12.75, call 718-BUCK (2825).

**Beech Traded To Youngstown**

The Bucks completed a trade late Friday sending rookie goaltender Kevin Beech to Youngstown for future considerations. The trade was pending until late Friday night when it became official.

Beech went 10-4-1 for the Bucks, with a 2.42 goals against average and a .900 save percentage. Beech started out 6-0 this season, but went 4-4-1 in his last nine decisions, including being pulled from five games he started.

With Beech out of the picture, John Ceci will move into the role of All-Star Dustin Traylen's backup.

Ceci is 1-2 so far for Laredo, with a 3.41 goals against average, and a .882 save percentage.
