ALLEN, TX- The Laredo Bucks of the Central Hockey League will play their first game of 2010 tonight when they travel to take on the Allen Americans at the Allen Event Center. Game time is 7:30pm.

The Bucks enter tonight on a season-high six-game winless streak (0-4-2) thanks to their 5-3 loss to Corpus on New Year's Eve. The Bucks have only had two six-game winless streaks in franchise history, and have not had one since the 2004-05 season when they went 0-5-1 from October 29-November 12, 2004. The Bucks have never had a seven-game winless streak in franchise history and are looking to avoid that tonight.
Laredo's last win this season came against the Ice Rays on December 17th when they earned a 2-0 shutout win.
The Bucks have gone 3-for-28 in their last four games on the power-play, including two-for-eight in their New Year's Eve loss.
The Bucks have had tremendous success in the first game of a new calendar year posting a 6-1 record in those games.
Allen enters tonight with a firm grip on second place in the Southern Conference as they are nine points ahead of Texas. The Americans have won four games in a row as they have outscored their opponents 15-6 in that span.
