Bruins Prepare for Today's NAHL Entry Draft

AUSTIN, Minn. - The Austin Bruins are set to begin selecting players to round out their 2020-21 roster this afternoon as part of the NAHL Entry Draft.

The 2020 NAHL Entry Draft is the second selection process of the off season for the league following the newly introduced Supplemental Draft which took place back in May. For today's Entry Draft, the Bruins have nine selections including six in the first 100 overall picks. Barring any trades or options not to select, here is the Bruins selection order:

Round 1 - 18th Overall

Round 2 - 32nd Overall

Round 2 - 45th Overall

Round 3 - 72nd Overall

Round 4 - 93rd Overall

Round 4 - 99th Overall

Round 5 - 126th Overall

Round 6 - 153rd Overall

Round 7 - 180th Overall

Back in May, the Bruins made three selections in the first ever NAHL Supplemental Draft picking defenseman Jackson McCarthy, goaltender Hudson Hodges, and defenseman Ben Dexheimer. The NAHL draft will be broadcast live on HockeyTV without requiring a subscription and will also be live tweeted during the game from the NAHL's and Austin Bruins' social medias.

The first chance these new Bruins will have to play in front of the Austin Bruins faithful comes on Friday, July 31st at the team's All-Star Game. The 40 man roster gets split into teams of 20 and will

duke it out to make the final roster. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, tickets are limited to the first 250 fans. Masks and social distancing will be required for the event to ensure everyone's safety. Tickets for the event are only $10 with a custom Bruins mask and ticket package costing $20 and can be acquired through the Bruins front office by calling 507-434-4978.
